Pearl River, New York – July 10th, 2012 — Joseph Fedor, Executive Vice President, U.S. RE Corporation, the reinsurance brokerage subsidiary of U.S. RE Companies, today announced that Marc Piccione has been named Sr. Vice President.
“Marc brings great depth as an executive level broker in the production, design and marketing of reinsurance and alternative risk transfer mechanisms. In addition, he continues to serve on the executive group that leads the company’s development of the various divisions that support of our brokerage company,” Fedor stated, adding, “ Sophisticated reinsurance brokerage today depends upon so many tools for the multi-sided analysis and in-depth assessment of exposure that successful risk transfer requires the very kind of background that Marc brings to senior management. He has been integral to the establishment of our unique, expanding ‘tool box’, from IRIS US to the U.S. RE Risk Manager system and to new resources we will introduce in the near future.”
Marc Piccione, previously a Vice President of U.S. RE, joined the company in 2003 and has concentrated on both property and casualty reinsurance placements in the domestic and international marketplace. He joined U.S. RE after working at Munich Re in Munich, Germany, where he concentrated on special and financial risks and retrocession business. Prior to that, he apprenticed as a reinsurance trainee at Generali in Trieste, Italy.
Marc was graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in international relations, with a concentration in business and economics and minor in business management and administration. He resides with his family in New Jersey.
