NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC, the leading global risk and reinsurance
specialist and a part of the Marsh & McLennan Companies (NYSE: MMC),
today announced that it has named Liz Flynn as Global Chief Operating
Officer. Ms. Flynn will be based in New York and will report to Peter
Zaffino, Guy Carpenter’s President and CEO.
Ms. Flynn will be responsible for developing and implementing Guy
Carpenter’s global strategic operational initiatives. She will oversee
the firm’s Client Support Services and Information Technologies groups,
as well as Reinsurance Solutions LLC (RSL), the wholly-owned subsidiary
of Guy Carpenter in the United States and RSL’s affiliate in the UK. Ms.
Flynn also will join Guy Carpenter’s Executive Committee.

Before joining Guy Carpenter, Ms. Flynn was Senior Vice President of the
Restructuring Office – Separation and Transition Management at AIG.
Previously, she was the company’s Corporate Vice President of Global
Transformation Initiatives.
Prior to joining AIG, Ms. Flynn served in multiple executive roles at
JPMorgan Chase, most recently as Executive Vice President of Merger
Integration and Mission Critical Issues, where she was responsible for
leading the firm’s efforts to merge JPMorgan Chase Bank and Bank One.
Ms. Flynn received a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Providence
College, graduating summa cum laude, and an MBA in finance from New York
University. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for both Providence
College and Providence House.
